The ‘Live In’ Concept of Live In Care

We all have heard about the meaning of ‘live in’. Just like live in relationship, the two people live with each other; in live in care the one who cares lives with the one who needs care.

Earlier it used to be a nurse who used to reside at the patient’s place for the period mentioned by the doctor and that’s it. With the passage of time, it has turned into a large industry. The statistics say there are two million patients and three million of professionals to take care of them.

Nowadays there are many people with disabilities who need to be looked after by somebody all the time. There is no such age or gender bar in such cases. There is an increasing need of trained and dedicated professionals. The ‘live in’ phenomenon is really giving great results. It is safe to leave the elders of the family in trained hands. The family members are ultimately not trained to take care of somebody with full alertness and expertise.

The professionals are also enjoying this. They are into a job without bearing the tensions of everyday transport, limited time period of lunch break, care by the family members, safety at somebody’s home and most importantly homely atmosphere.

Live in care is of especial help at nights when the situation of emergency takes place and the family loses patience. The caretaker will be there to guide them rightly and manage in the sensitive situation.

I never thought the concept if ‘live in’ can be utilized this way also especially when I got to know the meaning and legal approval of live in relationship.

The Booming Industry of Live in Care

Live in care was new for me. I had never heard about it. In my words, it is a solution for the oldies. It can also be defined as a substitute for old age homes. Some agencies provide the service of taking care of people at home. The people at home are often aged people or the elders of the family who cannot do any work. The reasons behind not working could be their growing age, loss of interest or some kind of physical challenge. The children cannot stay at home on all days of the week. It is mainly due to the increasing trend of working women. Women must not be victimized for this. It is because of increasing inflation they need to work.

Live in care can must be looked at as of great help. Care to a person is better given by a professionally trained person of course instead of a not-so-knowledgeable family member. You do not hire an individual as such but there are registered agencies for this. It reduces the chances of fraud.

The whole day goes on smoothly when you know that your parents or elders are in safe hands. A person id dedicated completely to one and only job of taking care of your near ones.

The industry is fairly booming. It is a new industry for those who have suffered from consequences of recession. The job is very simple. One has to only treat the person someone in a way one treats one’s own parents.
